Analysis of Lumbar Spine Stenosis Specimens for Identification of Transthyretin Cardiac Amyloidosis

Our study is funded by the National Institute on Aging (NIA) to facilitate early identification of individuals who develop transthyretin cardiac amyloidosis (ATTR-CA). This disorder is progressive, highly morbid, and fatal without recognition and treatment, but can easily be managed with early identification. We aim to change clinical practice by providing a reliable and efficient method for early identification through the analysis of lumbar spine stenosis specimens.
